Take 7 minutes to boot... ReadyNas Ultra 2

I don't know when exactly but few days ago, I rebooted my Ultra 2 and it took 7 minutes to boot. Was 1-2 minutes since my purchase.

I disabled all add-ons, squeezeServer, did a reboot with checkdisk...

Same.

The behaviour is that FrontView is inaccessible during this long boot but it pings. Also, most of the boot time is near non-stop flashing HD lights.

Any Idea??? I exported the full logs. Any idea on the file log I should look into?

Thnx!

Ah! Did you install the 0.9.5.2-7a18da4-x86 version? There was a bug in this version where the installation files were not removed at the end of the install script (line to remove installation files was commented out). Thus on each reboot the add-on would be re-installed.

If you download and install the latest version from the Plex website (http://www.plexapp.com/linux/linux-pms-download.php) this issue should be resolved.
  • yep...

now i got the latest as of december 9: .144 i think..

but now, photo II won't start!!!!

Have you tried rebooting the NAS then attempting to start Photos II again?
  • yeah, many times.

I'm unlucky: Last time I had this bug, I had to factory reset the ultra 2
  • Would you be able to give me remote access to the system?
  • I am getting this same problem on a brand new install. What to do?
  • AMRivlin - although you may think you have the same problem, your situation may be different. For one thing you state this is a new install. I recommend you open your own discussion and cover things like:

How Long have you had the unit.
What brand/model of drives are installed, and how many.
Whether you did a factory default on startup.
What version of RAIDiator are you running.
Do you have any data at risk on the unit.
If you have data on the unit, do you have a backup or is the data still on the other devices.
