TFTP Boot Recovery on Readynas X6/600 Rev A
I need to get the TFTP boot recovery process for a Readynas X6/600 Rev A. It is the old version of the model( no activity light, compact flash firmware) The unit's power button is unresponsive...

It doesn't use proprietary RAM. However not all RAM works with the system.
You can see the memory specs below:

Note that you can actually install modules up to 1GB, I think and NetGear no longer supports 3rd party memory upgrades (doesn't matter too much as your unit is out of warranty). The info above is correct in all other respects.
After replacing the memory be sure to run the memory test a few times. Then if it has passed the memory test stress test the device say for a few days to a few weeks, download the logs and check diagnostics.log to make sure that it doesn't report a problem with the memory.
