Transfer speeds on Ultra 4
Hello, I am new to the forum and have just bought a Ultra 4. I was expecting this to be incredibly fast on my network but when accessing media from my HTPC it is very laggy. I thought I would check my...

Okay to recap the old setup:
My office:
ReadyNAS Ultra 4
ZyXel GS-108B switch
Comtrend 200Mbps Powerline adapter
All using CAT 6
My room:
Comtrend 200Mbps Powerline adapter
BT Business hub (used as a hub only)
Acer Revo R3610
All using CAT5e
The above was tested using LAN Speed Test v1.7 on the Revo connecting to the media share on the ReadyNAS and achieved a measely 6-7 Mbps write speed.
Upgraded the Comtrend Powerlines to Solwise 500Mbps gigabit Homeplugs, swapped the BT Business hub for a ZyXel GS-105b and all CAT5e was replaced with CAT6, now I get 61Mbps which streams 1080p rips perfectly.
The odd thing is if I up my jumbo packets on my nVidia Gigabit ethernet port on the Revo to anything above 1514 the write rates drop to 20Mbps and the read test fails... I have jumbo frames enabled on the ReadyNAS and both switches are capable of 9k frames. Any idea why enabling anything above 1514 on my Revo cripples the speeds and fails read tests?
I will try to post screenshots of the full results later.
