Transfer the hard disk from a device of the same type on a device of the same type

You can power down both OS-6 NAS, then move the disk(s). I recommend preserving slot order.
If the target OS-6 NAS uses an x86 processor, the OS partition will be updated. However, some (likely most) apps won't work.
Also, if the target NAS isn't running the same firmware as the source, then the newest firmware will be applied. That is, if the target NAS has newer firmware in its flash, then the disk OS partition is updated. If the source NAS was running newer firmware, then the target NAS flash is updated from the disk.

If the volume is already damaged, then migration won't fix it.

And that is the question I answered.
If the array is healthy, you can transfer the disks to any OS 6 ReadyNAS, including another RN104.
As I said, if the two ReadyNAS are running different firmware, then either the OS installed on the disks or in the ReadyNAS flash will change.
