Trying to join domain - Unable to change Realm
I have an older 1100 which worked fine for years joined to an Active Directory domain. 2 days ago everyone lost access. No one can browse to their files. I can't even see the server on the network. Now when I try to re-join it to the domain it says: "Could not find domain controller for the specified realm at that address. Realm found was domain.net.
My problem is that the Realm field in Frontview says "domain" (not domain.net) and it is greyed out. I cannot change it. Any suggestions?
The volume is good and the shares are there, but I've tried everything I can think of to get to the files with no luck. My biggest concern is rescuing the files. I don't want to but I don't mind taking the NAS back to factory default and rebuilding it.
I've upgraded to the latest firmware - 4.1.8 and still get the same problem

Have you tried a OS Re-install?: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how_do_i_use_the_boot_menu
