Two MAC addresses

My pro-6 shows only one mac in RAIDar. Both ethernet ports are used (with teaming configured in the NAS and the switch). Do you have both ethernet ports connected to the switch? If so, maybe try disconnecting one. When it is accessible, try looking at the network stats, and see if there are lots of retransmissions, etc. You might also try a different ethernet cable, or moving the NAS to a different switch port.

Cascading two switches shouldn't matter. RAIDar should be getting the mac address directly from the response it receives from the pro. What model switches are you using?

I would try an OS install from the boot menu before trying a factory default. You are also entitled to free phone support for 90 days after purchase. You could try that avenue. There is something wrong if you can't assign a static address to the NAS.

BTW, most netgear routers support IP address reservation, which is a better way to go than static addresses. However, you might need to restart the NAS (or the router) in order to get the new address to "take".
