Ultra 6 + SLOW after replacement of 2TB HD's by 3TB HD's
I have a ReadyNas Ultra 6 and just replaced 4 2TB HD's (Hitachi HDS722020ALA330) with 4 3TB HD's (Hitachi HDS723030ALA640) and my speeds dropped from +/- 100 MB/s to 50 MB/s. I use the x-raid2 and ...

The Expansion is finished (a few days back). I had already 4.2.17 on the device before I upgraded to the 3TB HD's. The firmware 4.2.17 worked very well with the 2TB HD's.
I have done some testing and is seems that when I copy a file +/- 2 GB from the NAS to my PC it's copying this with a speed +/- 30 MB/s. But when I copy this file back to the NAS in another folder, it's copying this with a speed of +/- 60 MB/s.
So writing to the NAS is 2x faster then reading!?!

And about your remark: I though about this (leaving 2 2TB HD in there), but I was not sure what kind of raid the system was going to user. Is that then some kind of RAID-1 for the 2TB HD's and RAID-5 for the 3TB HD's? BTW this X-RAID2 expansion is working very good.
Yes. X-RAID2 is a dual-layer array. Take a look at X-RAID2 in Action
