ultra 6 volume size
I want to upgrade my Ultra6 RNDU6000 RAID-5 with larger drives but not sure what is max volume can be. I read that max is 16tb is that correct? thanks

Sorry, forgot this was an ultra 6.
Yes, you should be able to add 2x3TB into the two empty slots. That will give you 5 TB more space (assuming you are running xraid with single redundancy - the default). I'd hot-insert one, wait for it to expand the volume by 2 TB, then hot-insert the second. The second should have the volume first expand "horizontally" by 2 TB, then it will expand "vertically" to get the last TB. You may need to reboot to get the vertical expansion to start.
Each disk should take approx. 12 hours.
It's always good to make a backup first.
