Ultra2 Alert email setup
My newly installed ultra2 setup is showing an interesting non-send of alert email issue. Specifically, 'send a test message' does not arrive at the specified email in-box. The related Raidar utility...

Yes. What was getting me confused was the detail in the server settings heading for the incoming mail account, versus the details for outgoing server (SMTP). I had been focussing on the server details for the incoming account. heh. An outgoing email clearly would need the data for the smtp server. Once I realised that, I setup 'Custom' the mail account user ID (the address) and password, and then (advanced options) entered the smtp server address and port number, and ticked the TLS box. The from box here got populated automatically from the user address. Clicked on the send test message button, got the sent Ok box and (music) thunderbird chiming with incoming mail which turned out to be the NAS test message.
Back to the raidar setup page, applied the details that worked, and after the save confirmation, exited.
