I had 5x3TB disks inserted (1 redundant). Total space was 10.9TB. After a few months i added a 6th one .. And after 24hours or so, i get the above message.
The 6th is green in FrontView. But the totale space is still 10.9TB
How can i fix this? turn nas off, remove 6th, boot up again and then insert again?
i did offline expansion when i added the 5th disk .. do i need to do this again??
Thanks in advanced

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserThe expansion limit is 8 TB over the starting volume size. If you've hit this limit you probably do need to do another off-line expansion (or a factory reset).
- AmienAspirantThanks, should have known that :)
- AmienAspirantOk .. Resizing the filesystem on /dev/c/c to 3654303744 (4k) blocks.

Killed? How can i fixed this? or see whats wrong? i used : resize2fs -pf /dev/c/c - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDo you have a backup?
- AmienAspirantMost important yes, less important can be reconstructed, but would take a lot of time. Everything is currently still working btw.
Don't tell me a factory reset is the only solution? :( - AmienAspirantAnyone that perhaps knows a solution? I created the Swap file on a USB drive. That shouldnt be any problem right?
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserYou could try support - though if you reconfigured the linux OS, you probably should put it back first.
You could also try the off-line expansion procedure here: https://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopi ... 6&p=356612
Though it carries some risk, so you should back up as much as the non-critical data as you can before attempting it. - AmienAspirantThe error i reported was created while executing the offline expansion script.
resize2fs -pf /dev/c/c
Result:
Resizing the filesystem on /dev/c/c to 3654303744 (4k) blocks.
Killed
After mounting again .. no data is lost, but ofcourse the offline expansion didn't work - AmienAspirantanyone? what can i do? there is no log file to review on resize2fs?
can it be the swap file on the usbstick? do i need to remove the new harddisk and turn it on/off?
I really would like to have the additional space. Support is no option, while i need to use an offline expansion - AmienAspirant/up .. still looking for a solution
