Unable access readynas from windows 10 explorer

Hi,

I connected my ReadyNAS 102 to my network yesterday - all worked fine.

I'm using Windows 10

I connected the readynas to my modem wifi router with ethernet cable

I could access the drive in Windows explorer and map a drive.

But now when I click on the readynas name it comes up with a Network Error message - Windows cannot access \\readynas

Help please?

  • Hi StephenB,

    Thank you for your response.

No - I still couldn't access it using the IP address.

It turns out the problem was that the email address i used for the device settings was the same is used for ReadyCloud and this was confusing the computer.

All sorted now by disabling my ReadyCloud account.  just need to ensure that the email address for REadyCloud is different to the device.

Does it work when you access it by the NAS ip address.

I was having this same issue and went through several threads and posts trying to resolve it.  Found your solution. Changed my ReadyCloud email to my alternate email address and it worked.  Can't believe the solution was that simple. Thank you for posting.
