thanks for reaching out. when i try https://nas-ip-address/admin, it is not opening any webpage and i am getting the following error

other observation i have it that when i insert the disks in NAS, the NAS goes off the RAIDar and when i remove the disks. it shows back on the RAIDar scan.
this is consistent if i insert one disk or both...
let me know if this clue to any potential issue

First thing is that you can't access the Web UI when there are no disks. So that is normal. The NAS installs linux and the ReadyNAS application software on a small partition on the disks.

Then I suggest testing the disks in a Windows PC using vendor tools next (lifeguard for Western Digital; seatools for Seagate). The disks can be connected with either SATA or a USB adapter/dock.
What disk model are you using? CMR drives are what you want, several folks have had issues with SMR drives.

The WD40PURZ is CMR, so that particular issue isn't a concern.
However, I still recommend testing them in a PC - even new drives can fail, and I have had some new drives fail out-of-the-box. Personally I run the full non-destructive read test, and follow that with a full erase/write zeros test.

hi, i was able to detect the HD using lifeguard, attached is the screen shot, but i can't see it on file explorer or in the my comupter drives
