Unable to access Duo at all
after having a problem with a harddisk and an unsuccessful hotswap, I am unable to access the Readynas Duo. Even after a 30 sec rest, It always asks for a password.
'admin' and 'netgear1' do not do the job, it continues asking. Is there a possiblitiy to really force a factory default?
Thank you in advance for your help?
Best, Kai

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserYou can force a factory reset.
One way is to use the procedure specified for your model here: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how ... _boot_menu
Make sure you know for certain if you have a v1 or a v2: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how ... -or-nv-v2/
The second way is to delete the volumes on the disk(s) (e.g. partitions) on a windows system, using the windows disk manager. Then reinsert the disks in the duo. Since the disks are blank, a factory install is done.
