Unable to configure ReadyNAS NVX backup for Windows 7 share

I've changed the Windows 7 Authentication type and disabled my firewall but the ReadyNAS is still not recognising my Windows 7 shared drives.
As I purchased and registered this ReadyNAS NVX in 2010 I don’t get Netgear Support so can't raise a ticket to investigate why this ReadyNAS NVX can't recognise my Windows 7 shared drive. The ReadyNAS NVX works fine with Windows XP shares.
Does anybody have clear instruction on how to configure a ReadyNAS NVX to backup a Windows 7 32bit Ultimate share and how to configure a Windows 7 32bit Ultimate share to allow ReadyNAS NVX backup to recognise the share?
