Are you getting an error that says there is problem with the ssl version, or says there is a cipher mismatch?

If not, what error are you seeing?

      Hi

I am getting exactly the message you describe; 'there is a problem with the ssl version, or there is a cipher mismatch'

      Hope this helps

      Brian

The reason you are getting this message is that browsers are starting to drop support for TLS 1.0 (requiring at least TLS 1.2).  Your legacy NAS is limited to TLS 1.0.

You should still be able to connect with Internet Explorer, or Edge in IE mode.  Another approach is to install an older version of firefox, and immediately reconfigure it to prevent auto-update.  Firefox 94.0.2 will work.

If you are running a Duo with 5.3.x firmware, then you install an add-on the adds TLS 1.2 support to your NAS.  This was built by WhoCares_ (who also runs rnxtras.com).  A link to the add-on is here: https://github.com/rdynsxtrs/r5bin/blob/master/apache2/Apache2_2.2.34-arm-0.0.1.bin

That mod isn't available for Duos running 4.1.x firmware. But it is possible to modify a configuration file in the NAS with ssh.  That modification will let you access the admin web ui with unencrypted HTTP (so not using TLS).  More details on this (and the problem generally) are here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/New-ReadyNAS-Users-General/Workaround-for-ERR-SSL-VERSION-OR-CIPHER-MISMATCH-problem-for/m-p/2198243
