I have a similar problem with me Homenetwork. After I made all the upgrades to the new firmwares I can not log onto my HomeNetwork ReadyNAS. The ReadyNAS remote icon on my desktop has disappeared. My system is dual system, I have Windows 10 on top of Parrallel 11, on my Mac Mini. This all worked fine until the upgrade. Thanks PC1staid for making this problem public

Hi StephenB, I can only get logged into the NAS as user name admin and password is password. I can no longer make my account (PC1staid) an admin account. I can make a user account but using my user name and password I can not log into the NAS at all. As for the temporary account for the client it now comes up on the right click as create a weblink ( go figure). I am sure it was just share before.
If I tried to log on within my internal network I could only access using windows explorer and putting in the ip address ( 192.168.1.103) and see the folders. I was unable to get into the settings. Now I am able to get in but all the user accounts I had on it were gone. I made my account again but when I tried to access again was unable to.
Since I have tried at home, I can now get access and make temp shares, but only log into the NAS using the default user name and password.
jallen62, I have been reading the forum since my post and it seams this is quite a comon issue. As a side line to this, when I spoke to Netgear customer services, I was informed that the technical support team are aware of this issue and are able to assist "without" charge. should anyone wish to listen to the call, I have it recorded.- StephenBJul 08, 2016Guru - Experienced User
You should change the admin password to something else - both for security reasons, and because it will allow you to access the full data volume using the admin credentials.
You are saying that the accounts are missing from https://192.168.1.103/admin ???

I had four accounts for staff to log onto. Mine ( PC1staid) was an admin account and 3 others which were user accounts that the staff had their own data in folders in that only they could access their own data. When I got back in with the admin account the 4 accounts were not listed but the folders were there. Now I have made all four accounts again but unable to access any of the files from all four accounts. when I went back in as admin the accounts are there but my own is listed as a user not as admin. if I try to log in with any of the four user accounts I keep getting invalid login. I have deleted all four accounts and remade mine ( as a user for now) with the user name pc1staid and the password 123456. And yet I still can not access the NAS via the web browser. internally or externally. However last night, mucking about with it, I did manage to get access via my home internet and I did also manage to set up a temporary share. I just need to be able to set up 3 user accounts that will allow access to each member of staff to there own folder which is password protected. Once done I will just use the admin account for myself.
On this occasion it has been benificial that I hadn't changed the default username and password, else I feel I would have had to reset the box, which going by the setup will erase both the drives.
As I said, I am probably not seeing the wood for the tree's. It was simple enough to setup when I got the box last sept but now I just can't get my head into gear with it.
