Updating Readynas duo from 1 to 2tb not easy
Hello
I thought it would be easy to upgrade my Readynas v1 from 2 1tb to 2 tb.
As instructed, I just replace one of the 1tb disks with 1 2tb disk. 8 hours later a get a message that it is fully retundant.
When trying to reboot it is impossible, I get the message "felaktig root" in raidar and the only way to reboot is to remove the 2tb drive.
One of the reasons for buying this NAS was that it was supposed to be easy, its really not easy. Its impossible
What should I do?

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserPerhaps you should open a on-line support case (which is free).
What firmware is your V1 running?
BTW, you might want to update your profile to indicate the NAS you actually own. - ulfrickardssonAspirantThanks for answer
I thougt this was the place to have on-line support ?
I updated to the last firmware yesterday when I reinstalled the old 1tb disks - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThis is the forum, for support cases see the "Online Submission" link in my sig.
What firmware was running on the NAS unit previously?
What brand and model 2TB disks are installed? - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserKnowing the actual firmware revision also confirms the platform (which is particularly confusing for the Duo and NV+).
- ulfrickardssonAspirantHi all
I have been in contact with support and just been told that there is a known issue with WD20EARX. Even that it is in the compability list the NAS need to do a factory reset in order for the NAS to recognize the disk.
