Upgrade - Invalid checksum detected in the update file.
When I try to update from 4.16 to 4.17 I get this message when I press "Perform System update".
I have tried manually download also
"Invalid checksum detected in the update file. Update aborted."
I got the same message when i tried to add "skifta" add-on
Anyone know an answer to my problem

- PapaBear1ApprenticeDid you get it to download properly?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDo note that Skifta is an x86 add-on. It won't install on Sparc ReadyNAS (e.g. Duo v1). This is a separate issue to updating the firmware.
If you want to use Skifta you'll need to get an x86 ReadyNAS (e.g. Ultra, Pro). You'd need to transfer your data (e.g. across your network to the new NAS) as the RAID formats are different. - scrub1AspirantI get the same thing when I try to update my NV+. I'm in Chrome (on mac), but didn't think that would matter. Any thoughts?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredAs PapaBear asked, did you download the firmware update properly? Could you try downloading it using a different web browser?
What version of RAIDiator firmware are you currently running scrub? - scrub1AspirantHey there,
I'm using the web admin interface for RAIDiator 4.1.7, System/Update/Remote/Check for updates. It notes there's an update and I then hit Perform system update. Churns for a bit and comes back with a checksum error. I assumed that the download happens directly to the NV+ box, but does it actually download it to the browser then upload to the NV+? I'll try with another browser... - scrub1AspirantDoesn't give any indication of working with Safari, don't get past checking for the update... I'll crank up a windows vm and try with ie...
- scrub1AspirantSame results with chrome on windows 7. Trying with ie on win7 now...
- scrub1AspirantOk, ie9 on win7 gives me the same. Any other thoughts?
Thanks! - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIt downloads direct to the NAS box. Please check the settings are correct under Network particularly the DNS and Gateway settings.
You could also try a local update, downloading the firmware image from here: http://www.readynas.com/RAIDiator_4_1_8_Notes
