Upgrade files to go from 4.2.31 toOS6 on a Ultra?
I am looking for the files to upgrade an Ultra 6 to OS6. None of the links in previous threads work. TIA

Maybe you also wish to check if the bios is up to date (which needs to be updated separatly and didn´t comes with the firmware upgrade!). I performed that after the OS6 upgrade (from 4.x) which solved some issues for me. So you might try to wish to do the same. The URL I used for the ReadyNAS Bios Upgrade process is: https://www.admin-enclave.com/en/articles/linux/484-upgrade-the-bios-from-an-readynas-device.html

It's simpler just to download http://www.readynas.com/download/addons/x86/4.2/BIOS_Update_Package_0.5-x86.bin and install it as an add-on. This should be done before you convert the NAS to OS-6.

The linked process is only applicable to units already converted to OS6 and is out of date since it's adding a Debian Wheezy repo but ReadyNASOS6 is now based on Debian Jessie.
As StephenB says, it is far easier to use the update add-on while still running OS 4.2.x. In fact, I used a spare drive to downgrade one of my Pro units to 4.2.x and then did the BIOS update, then went back to OS6 rather than go through the process listed there.

Thanks for all the feedback.
Current situation:
System is running 6.10.2
BIOS info:
/sys/class/dmi/id/bios_date
::::::::::::::
06/10/2010
::::::::::::::
/sys/class/dmi/id/bios_version
::::::::::::::
080016
The systems seems to be running fine. Backup is working properly, alerts are working properly. I am not trying to do anything fancy, it is simply a storage repository for raw images and video.
Should I upgrade the BIOS?
