Are you using X-RAID2 single-redundancy or dual-redundancy? What disks (how many and what capacity) were installed when you last did a factory reset?
If using single-redundancy you need to add another 2TB disk before expansion can take place.See X-RAID2 Single-Redundancy in Action. The volume can only be expanded if the extra space will be redundant (i.e. if any one disk fails data remains intact).
If using dual-redundancy you need at least four 3TB disks installed. Replace another 2TB disk, wait for the resync to complete then replace another disk etc.
