Upgrading my RN104 from 6.1.9
Greetings. I received some great advice on another thread but that was quite a while ago and it is closed. And I am just now finally getting around to this upgrade. My RN104 is on version 6.1.9...

Hello BJB,
Before updating to 6.4.1, please read this article: ReadyNAS OS 6.4.1: FAQ on Maintenance Firmware Release.
Factory Reset will delete all files and settings you have on the NAS. OS reinstall won't. See the boot menu's options descriptions here.
You need to have 6.2.5 before updating to 6.4.0, and you need 6.4.0 before updating to 6.4.1.

You can update direct from 6.2.5 to any 6.4.x firmware. You don't need to go via 6.4.0.
If your volume usage is below about 80-85% you could start by running a balance after you update to 6.2.5.
