Upgrading NVX - Should I or ??

There are several forum sections which deal with running OS6 on legacy units. Have a look at them.
Running OS6 won't make your readynas any better at doing the things you want it to do.
The NVX should be able to handle what you want it to. Transcoding HD video would require something faster.
I think readynas still leads the pack when it comes to looking after your data, which after all is the primary function of a nas.
