UpNp not working and DLNA not installing

I've been having a similar issue since upgrading to 4.2.24. I cannot get any of the streaming services to activate. I click on their option check box to enable them and click apply and then they immediately uncheck and the service does not activate. Also, the DLNA streaming service is gone. Bizarrely, while the iTunes media server also shows unchecked, it seems to actually be working as my Mac can access all the songs from the server from the "pTunes" object in iTunes as usual.
