Yes, this is the problem - a completely full OS partition.
Do you know how to find the largest files?
You can try moving into the top level folders - for instance cd /var
Then try this: du -hsx * | sort -rh | head -10

Support is no longer available, and it's been a long time since Netgear responded to a post here. They wouldn't tell you to purchase a new ReadyNAS, since there are none. The most recent ReadyNAS platforms were launched in 2017.
- What model NAS do you own?
- Have you tried all the USB ports on the NAS?
- How are you formatting the drives?
