usb flash recovery 4.1.8.img
bought a second hand readynas duo rnd2000 v2, using RAIDar its found on my network, see' both seagate 500gb, but its saying corrupt root, wher can i find this....thanks in advance Joe

Did you try doing a factory reset using the boot menu? This is done with the disks installed:
- Power off your system.
- Using a straightened paper clip, press and hold the Reset button.
- Press and release the Power button to power on the system.
- To perform a factory reset, continue to hold the Reset button until all Disk LEDs flash twice (once at 5 seconds and then 25 seconds later), and then release the button.
Make sure you hold the reset button down long enough on step 4.
The reset button is recessed and is on the rear panel:

What happens if you power down the NAS, put the 80 GB drive back in, and then power up?
when i pit the drive into my external dock to view it, it has a NHS drive with windows 10 on, so i formatted it the removed partion so drive was unallocated, put it into readynas and getting same message corrupt image...joe

" i formatted it the removed partion" is a bit contradictory. Did you format it or remove all partitions? The drive can have no partitions at all. That includes no "protective" partitions that some tools cannot remove. While a factory default will typically take care of that, I believe there are some protective partitions that even that can't remove.
