USB Hard Stop responding after few hours
I have a ReadyNAS 102 device and have 2 x 1TB hard disks in it. It backs up the home directory of our linux server. I enabled X-Raid and formated in Ext3.
When i try to backup the whole NAS device using "Data" volume to the USB hard disk,
1. It begins the copy process.
2. Few hours later the USB hard disk's access light lit up and it is not blinking which letting me know that it is not responding or stucked.
3. Web panel not responding.
4. But I can access NAS driver over windows explorer.
5. Even if I unplug the USB drive then, I cannot access the Web panel.
What would be the problem and how to fix this matter.

Hi ndverge,
Let us isolate the problem. Kindly answer the questions below:
a. Was backing up using "Data" volume from the NAS to USB hard disk working before?
b. Have you tried backing up just one share or a file from the NAS to the USB hard disk to isolate the problem?
c. What is the current firmware version of the NAS?
d. What is the storage capacity of the USB hard disk?
I look forward to your response.

Dear all,
No, My problem is still the same old thing. I scheduled 3 shared folders on saturday to backup to usb drive. (USB drives root path, not for a created folder). 1 shared folder was successfully backed up. but another two was got stuck. I cannot even access the web page over the network.
Do I have to unmount it from the linux server before the backup job is begun?
