Vista Wireless Performance Questionnaire

My questionnaire is below, and the suggested tips didn't work, but I found something that does:

In 4.1.4, lowering the MTU on the ReadyNAS to 1492 sped up wireless. In 4.1.5, this does not help. I then raised the 4.1.5 MTU back up to 1500, and I lowered the MTU on the Vista wireless to 1492 and that didn't help. So I tried lowering it even more to 1430, and the speed jumped up. Now it's at ~1.8MB/s. Then I just slowly tweaked up the MTU -- it's now at 1450. Still a bit slower, but at least it's usable.

Disabled, and did not help. 10) Does enabling jumbo frames work? Several folks reported problem solved by enabling jumbo frames, and this also had the effect of speeding up wired transfers. No. 11) Are you able to try another router? A couple users reported replacing current router/switch solved the problem. No.
