Vista Wireless Performance Questionnaire

Wow.
We have been using a Vista based laptop for over a year now. Doing wireless. Luckily only one of our four machines uses Vista, so not the biggest problem.
I had totally written that machine off from accessing the NAS. Went thru all available hints and tips a good while back, until I resigned the issue.
And suddenly here is the answer... reduced the MTU to 1430 and everything looks good.
Get approx 50% on a 54Mbit wireless both ways.
Haven't upgraded to latest fw yet, but are considering it. At least I know that there could be issues with that as well (so 4.1.6-T6 is probably the one I will try). In any case resent the idea about flashing the NAS and the uncertainty that comes with it.
