This tutorial fixed my problems. Set the MTU to 1430 on my Win7 laptop and get much better wireless performance to my ReadyNAS Duo. Left the MTU at 1500 on the ReadyNAS. I've gone from unusable to around 1MB/s transfer speeds for larger files, and video that is streaming perfectly.
