wake-on-demand and shutdown on inactivity ?
First question : Is it possible to use something like wake-on-demand (Apple Bonjour service has that) with the ReadyNAS ? I use my NAS for my medias file. But each time i want to access a media,...
i have a $200 netgear router (FVS318N) it probably supports WOL but since i always access my medias from my XBMC HTPC it would probably be easier for me to set it up there.
Now i just don't understand how to enable WOL on my ReadyNAS... Is it possible to open it with WOL when it is totally shut-down (after pressing the power button 3 times to do a "hard" shutdown) or do i need to enable some kind of "sleep mode" like with PC ?
As for the "shutdown after idle time" script, if you are willing to write one i can pay for it ! :)
