I don't own a v2, but my understanding is that the memory is soldered onto the system board.
The duo v2 is faster than the v1, but it didn't last long enough for all the features to get into its firmware.
On RAID0, I still prefer jbod. You do need to balance storage between the two volumes, but getting it back up after a failure is quicker. You won't see any performance gain with single-volume RAID0, since the CPU is the bottleneck, followed by the network. Anyway, jbod is what I use on my RN102.
