For a while before the spec was finalised, a number of companies that didn't want to wait released draft-N devices. Get a wireless-N router with gigabit ethernet. Leave jumbo frames off (Jumbo Frames is only useful for writes over ethernet connections, I think) and leave journaling on default settings.
