Where to find new bios and how to flash ReadyNas Ultra 6

Hi!
I am using an Ultra 6 with OS 6.9.3

* Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU D510   @ 1.66GHz
* Bios: 06/10/2010 FLAME6-2 V1.1
* Loader: RNDU6000-V1

I am going to setup Virtual Box and want to have VT-X enabled.

Is there anyone that can give an URL to the latest BIOS software?
How do I flash the bios ?

Thanks in advance
Gudmund

    If your system is working well, I think you should leave it as it is.

    There are some instructions here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/Where-to-find-BIOS-updates-Ultra4-Plus/m-p/1240668#M126088

    Since you already have OS 6 installed, you won't be able to use the add-on that's linked to the post.  You'll need the manual procedure that's described there (using ssh).

    It might be wise to wait for mdgm-ntgr to confirm that the manual procedure is the same for the ultra 6 (though I believe it is).

      Thank you

      The NAS has been completely wiped and I think that time is good to do this update now :-)

      We will wait for mdgm-ntgr :-)

        If you want to avoid the ssh commands, you could

        • put in a single scratch disk
        • revert to OS 4.2
        • install the add-on in the post
        • convert back to OS 6
        • then reinstall your current disks.

        That is more work, but would avoid any risk of trashing your bios by an accidental typo.
