Just noticed this spin-down with a spin-up occurring immediately after the spin down while sitting beside my NAS for the evening.
Since I've just rebuild my array after loosing 2 hard drives in a row I'm very interested in this issue. Is it possible that automount with nfs on the server side might be causing the spin down with immediate spin-up?
