Will ReadyNAS DUO fan speed quiet down after firmware update
I just factory reset my RNDuo v1 and updated the firmware RAIDiator 4.1.4 but the fan is still walloping at 5400 RPM. I could have sworn after the update there was a radio button or simialr switch in...

You could try the Enable Fan Min RPM add-on, as some have found that it also seems to solve the high-speed problem. No idea why that would work, but it is easy to try. Just make sure you don't set the min fan speed too low.

I don't see any logs about sync status. Both LED lights for the 2 drives are just steady, geen lights.
Fan @ 5769 RPM
X-RAID config
No other alerts or on-going advise

finally yes! That worked like it did before the factory reset. Thanks
Fan was constant at 5638 RPM, now is quiet at 2586 RPM
