Hello SimpleeHosting,
ReadyNAS Remote is EOL, and is only for legacy units (OS4 and OS5). ReadyCloud is the replacement for it that is to be used with OS6 units. You mentioned you have FW 6.4.2, that means you are using OS6.
In case you are trying to user ReadyNAS Remote on a Windows machine, it should be ReadyCloud client for Windows
ReadyCloud FAQ might help you too if you have any questions.

Thanks for the reply.
If we use readycloud do we need to allow computers to sync/update all files/folders like dropbox (which is one of our issues) before use
When I am away I have to wait for DBox to sync before I can do anything which is why we want to move away from Dbox.
Thanks

Hello SimpleeHosting,
That depends on the reason you are using ReadyCloud. It is for accessing remotely and for synching/uploading files to the NAS using ReadyCloud. Files you saved in volume of the ReadyNAS can be accessed via ReayCloud even when there is a backup job or any activity running on the NAS.

So for an example, the main computer in the office runs outlook, if we put the outlook pst file on the NasBox (cloud) when we come to use the Laptop whilst out fo the office would we need to wait outlook pst file to sync on the computer or could we use it straight away once logged into Cloud.
Thanks
