X-raid or raid-1
Just got the NAS and installed 2 disks and picket the default X-raid (?). If i understand this right i now have one volum twice as big 2x2 TB. By default it has a "backup" share and a "media" share. N...
StephenB is correct. With XRAID, it will be redundant. Only providing you with half capacity of the 2x2TB disks, reserving half for the redundancy of the system. The benefit to XRIAD would be the ability to expand in the future, without the hassle that comes with the traditional RAID.
