ZeroTier as a ReadyCloud replacement.
Well, a big part of a replacement, anyway. With ReadyCloud going away, a lot of folks are going to be looking for a replacement in order to have remote access to their ReadyNAS, I have been using...

ARM64 is for an ARM V8 or above. You have an ARMV7, so need the ARMEL (32-bit) or ARMHF (64-bit) release.

Is there a way to install Zero Tier on my Readynas Ultra 2 (RNDU2000) running OS 6.9.5. with 2GB or ram?
Did the upgrade to OS6 on this oldy.
Im not really a programmer, but can use a bit of SSH (with help and the correct commands)
Installing from the NAS control site, installing ZT fails.
(updating OS 6.9.5, checking for new firmware, also failes in a time-out/comm fail, don't know if that matters)
Sorry voor the N00b questions.

Yes, that is what this thread is all about See post 30. But you'd first need to make some changes to apt in order to install anything. More details on that are here:
Note that quite a few routers have OpenVPN (or an equivalent VPN), and that can also be used to get access to the NAS while away from home. That doesn't require installing anything on the NAS. Netgear Nighthawk and Orbi both include OpenVPN.

Thnx for the reply.
I tried the VPN solution on my netgear nighthawk R7800 but failed to get it going.
Searched further on the forum and found this post, How I got apt update and install ... Instruction
It is written for dummies, as I am, and really helped me!
After the apt update, installing zerotier was quick and easy.
It is up and running on my Readynas Ultra 2 and have acces from two diffrent places!
