Add VPN TUN Option to the D7000 to allow connection from iOS and Android devices

Please could you consider adding the TUN profile in the OpenVPN server software already installed on the D7000 router to enable access from iOS and Android devices.

From using the OpenVPN Server myself, it should be a reasonably straight forward configuration issue as opposed to additional firmware.

If you cannot provide this then would you at least allow the VPN ports (4500 etc) to be freed up when not in use so I can forward them to the internal network. At present these ports are blocked from being set for forwarding to the internal network irrespective of whether the VPN server is active or not...

Thanks

    Hi CrimpOn

Thanks for the reply - good point on the static vs reserved.  My own OC will appreciate the distinction 😉

It's not ideal but I found that rebooting the Orbi did the trick.

A much simpler solution.  (Why do I have this mania about seeing how long my Orbi can stay "up"?)  A reboot certainly takes less time than my process.
