Enable the EX8000 to support extender mode using a wired backhaul, just like the recent firmware update for the Orbi systems does.

Today, I use my router and ex8000 ( ethernet connected) with same wifi name, but with manual different 2,4 / 5gh channels. Works... but, the best will be on a 802.11s...

I cannot believe that such an expensive extender would not have wired enternet backhaul to enable one SSID and the use of a mesh system
Agreed. I won't buy it until they update the firmware to include this capability.
I was told by the sales person I bought this from that I could use an Ethernet port for additional bandwidth like with other mesh solutions / extenders. That was obviously a lie. At this price I can't believe it is not available. Will not be recommending this to anyone.
