Feature Request: Block or allow individual devices based on time schedule
I have an R7500 Nighthawk router that works beautifully. But one feature I miss is the ability to block individual devices based on a time schedule. There is a feature to block ALL devices on a time schedule, but not individual devices. Please consider adding that feature.
For example, I want to block my 2 kids Ipods between 9pm and 7am on school nights, and 10pm and 7am on weekends, and allow all other devices. Unless I'm missing something, this is not currently possible

The parking of the car was a nice touch however a 12 ga shot gun would have been faster it will leave a big hole behind for all too remember.
It could have been a modern art piece who knows. I seen people use tnt before on some old youtube videos no signs the item ever was there just a big hole. One way to feel better.

I looked up the IP address of every single device on my network and named each and every one accordingly so I can see which phones and tablets are who’s, and just came back to the app to turn off my daughters WiFi, and all of the device names are back to the original codes and I can’t tell which ones are hers now. This took like 3 hours to label all of these devices and it’s all gone! Can anyone please tell me how to permanently change the device name for longer than one app session??

Late to the party on this topic - just found the need to schedule my son's PS4 each school night to block it's internet access and ran across this thread.
Agreed I've been somewhat disappointed wth the R8500 over the time I've had it - mainly with signal strength, FW update robustness, OpenVPN support timeliness, FW support PERIOD!, etc...
So, I haven't tested this yet - but the way I'm trying to fx this issue (scheduled device blocking by MAC):
* Map a static IP to the device (by MAC) you want to 'block'
* Set up a service block definition for that IP address
* Set up a schedule for activating the service block
1) ADVANCED SETUP -> LAN SETUP ->
- Add Reservation (at bottom) for the current IP address of the device you want to schedule (PS4 for me)
2) ADVANCED SETUP -> BLOCK SERVICES ->
- Choose 'Per Schedule' and then '+Add' at the bottom
- Choose ALL for 'Service Type', then 'Only This IP Address' and put in the IP address you reserved then 'ADD' at the top
3) ADVANCED SETUP -> SCHEDULE ->
- Choose the days you want the blocking to occur
- Uncheck the 'All Day' box and set the times that you want the blocking to occur
We'll see what happens - and although you can create multiple IP->MAC servce block filters, you can only create1schedule for all of those. Still half a** if it works.

Nighthawk doesn't allow blocking individual devices on schedule
for example I want to have internet until 10pm, but cutoff internet to kids devices at 8PM
you either have to manually block device forever, and then manually unblock it
or
cut off internet on schedule to all devices at once
Neither option is ideal
I haven't read all the posts, has this been already resolved?

Netgear SUCKS. Period. Make it easier on yourself and get Synology, Linksys or Asus. You'll be thankful later.
