Please implement the OpenVPN client in Orbi. I would like to use a VPN connection without having to configure a VPN client on every device. There are multiple devices that benefit from a VPN but do not have VPN capabilities themselves, such as game consoles (Xbox, Playstation) and smart tvs (e.g. Roku, LG webOS).
The OpenVPN client feature has been added to XR500 Nighthawk Pro Gaming Router and for PureVPN on Nighthawk X4S in R7800 Firmware Version 1.0.2.46. OpenVPN client support would be preferable, as I use a VPN that is not PureVPN. Please add the OpenVPN client support to Orbi too.

The ability to have a VPN client on my home router, in order for all devices to be connected over my VPN WAN tunnel, whilst remaining in the same LAN, was the most basic expectation I had of the expensive Orbi RBK53 setup. To my dismay, this wasn't the case. My centuries old previous TP-LINK router supported this functionality. Coming from the DD-WRT world I assumed that including an OpenVPN Client would be a piece of cake for any router manufacturer having a device with a decent enough processing power for encryption/decryption. I beg of your Netgear, to atleast give a roadmap for this feature's availability.

VPN client on a router is a deal breaker and a must have feature. Hoping you can make this happen.

+1 For a VPN client. A router in this price range needs this feature.

Looks like this thread has been active for two years, with numerous requests for this feature. I'm not optimistic.

Yes, please. I want to point out that those of us who have defaulted to using an "edgerouter" such as Ubiquiti in front of the Orbi to effect a VPN client, lose much when switching the Orbi to passthrough mode: guest Lan, Netgear/Bitdefender, et al.
