Have written before but never had a reply. I need my LB2120 LTE modem to send me a message when it fails over to 4g but I cannot find a data plan that also will send a text so it would be great if we had the option for sending an email. Has anyone else found a carrier that sells a pay as you go data plan that will also send a sms message?

Where are you based? I'm ion the UK and my EE SIM sends SMS even though it is a data only account... Guess it depends on your local telcos. Worth trying to send an SMS from the modem with your current SIM if you haven't already
I am having the same issue and I second this idea. Having the option to put in SMTP settings to send an email would be very helpful.
I am in Australia and have the same problem with Telstra and Vodafone. SMTP would complicate a simple product but it is quite important to know when one is failedover (if there is such a word )
Long story short, when I returned from being out of the office the internet was running slow. I checked my connection source and I was running on cell data. All I had to do was restart the modem and I was back online. I just ate through GBs of data and an extra cost. An email notification would have been key and would have saved me money.

This would be a very useful feature. I am using a "Three" data sim in the UK. It does not allow sending SMS messages, so I receive no notification of a loss in wired connection and all my data gets used up.
