Netgear Orbi WiFi System - Unit Color

Would really enjoy if the Orbi was offered in a few different colors, the classic options are of course a Black which will probably blend in better with many customers current equipment. My entire AV rack is black equipment; Reciever, Amplifier, DVR, PS4..., sticking a bright white Orbi unit on it would clash.

Other options are the something like a "space gray" popularized by Apple, and even something a little more colorful and decorative like a red or a blue would blend in better than white. I feel like some color options would be beneficial to the product line.

  • An cover that slides on and off would the easily answer it would allow one router to be producted and let the colored covers to be a opion to fit any room in your home there could a cover that you could paint too.

  • Another way is a clear cover with rgb led ring in it and simple remote control to control the ring. You can get the rgb strips off ebay and other locations with remotes for around 15.00 to 50.00 depending on the number of leds and number strips in a kit.

  • I think a pack of colored plastic shelves in assorted colors would let every have the color of their choice and should not cost a great deal once they statr to sale.

  • Like the idea of covers and would happily pay a resononable amount for them

  • Definitely want Netgear Orbi based on specs and reviews; however wife won't allow white color as all other equipment and furniture are dark.  We need black color.  Let me know if/when it's available.  Otherwise it looks like I'll have to get the black Velop system available from Best Buy.

  • SOLUTION!

Pick the trouser sock of your choice.  For you dudes a trouser sock is a thin, almost hosery/nylons type of sock.  Cut the toe off and stretch it over your WHITE device.  The thinner you stretch it the more translucent it becomes.

Voila...looks kinda like a speaker panel fabric if you use black.
