Please update the Traffic Meter feature for the Nighthawk R7000 to have an increased Monthly Limit that can account into the Tbytes. Comcast as an ISP has began to implement data caps at 1024Mb which equates to 1048576Mbytes but the Monthly Limit field only allows me to enter 104857Mbytes, missing the last digit which is significantly less than the data cap. Given that Comcast is monitoring the traffic it should be available to impose limits and monitor traffic independent of Comcast. It is very important this feature be added.
Currently running V1.0.7.10_1.2.3 firmware.
This was mentioned in the forums and it was suggested that this be submitted at this location in that post. See below;
Original Post
"This in regards to the Traffic Meter monitoring function of the SRX5308 VPN Firewall. However this would apply to any device in Netgear's product lineup that monitors the amount of IP traffic per month.
Currently the traffic meter can set a monthly traffic limit of up to a maximum of 256000 MB (~250 GB). However, this is insufficient for those who are using Comcast as an ISP where the limit is set to 1 Terabyte (1024 Gb).
Request that the montly traffic limit setting be adjustable in the Terabyte range."

Hi Abhay, thanks so much for your positive response & status change!
Relief in sight. Yes please keep us posted.
I understand regarding updating the other apps as well.
All best with it & look forward to hearing from you SOON!
Cheers!

Please let me know if you would like to test a firmware that's being validated to increase the limit to 99TB. Currently it's for R7000 only and we will release and rollout to other models.

Hello AbhayB,
I only have an R8500 in Australia. Is it appropriate?
Thanks, Alan

I am very pleased that you guys are working on this. It's desperately needed. I know the initial test in on R7000's only. If it helps for future testing, I am more than willing to test beta firmwares. I have an R6300 v2 and a R7900P that I'd be more than willing to test with!

See, Netgear want our help & they get responses from people that are willing to help for nothing, only to be ignored. Terrible PR.

I have an R7500v2 that I would gladly test a new firmware for this added feature. I to am on Comcast and would like the ability to monitor my own usage rather than rely soley on Comcast's count.
- MaricopaJoeFledglingI've been waiting for a fix so long that I am just going to load DD-WRT and be done with it. I don't think NetGear really cares what a home user router is doing. Besides, they will just fix it in a new version.

Please note that we have increased the traffic limits to 4TB on most routers through firmware update and more will come if not already.
