Orbi - send logs to external Syslog server

I would like a feature addedd to allow sending Orbi logs to a syslog server on the private network. My NAS already has syslog server capability, and I would like the Orbi to send it's logs to it.

They don't. There used to be a send to USB however that was on Orbi AC series, but NG removed the USB port on all later versions of Orbi. There seems to be enough RAM for debug logs. Only need to capture a short duration of logging then save the output to file. No need to run the logging all the time. I would agree, there could be more logging or better logging to help with troubleshooting problems. đꙄ

  • Interesting. That approach assumes that the issue is being consistent. In your experience, if I leave the debug logs on for a week (to figure out what’s going on with the random occurring issues), what’s the expected size of the file?

Do the debug logs only capture wifi clients connecting/disconnecting from AP’s or will it also capture information between the router and the satellites too?

The debug logs are supposed to zero out when max ram limit is hit if you leave the logging running then start over.

    Yes.

If you having a problem, why not post about it in the Orbi BE forum and give details of what your having problems and lets try to help you troubleshoot this and narrow down the problem first.
