Hi,
Is there any hope to have one day a VPN CLIENT feature inside your routers?
I know this is someting more about custome firmware, but I heard Asus allow it on its regulkar firmware too...
thanks for any answer

This would be a great feature.
Client VPN inside the Netgear Orbi would be an extremely useful feature, as not all devices (Roku, Xbox, webOS tvs) have the ability to connect to a VPN themselves.

Yes, please, it's an A+ feature that lots and lots of geeks and privacy concerned customers across the globe will love.
Go Netgear please, make it happen!

This would be an amazing feature. Instead of running VPN Clients on all devices on my network (a ton), having the ability to run the VPN client (preferably OpenVPN allowng custom configurations like IPredator) would make life a lot esier for a ton of people.
This is being recommended by a lot of VPN companies, so you really need to look at this soon in order to stay competitive.

I was surprised that this wasn't already a feature in the Orbi WiFi system. If urge Netgear to implement a VPN solution where I could choose my VPN provider and add the configuration to my Orbi router to have all my traffic go though the VPN provider.

The request for client feature within the other has been long-standing. Unfortunately, I still do not see any clarification by Netgear, whom should come forward to advise if it's feature that will be incorporated in future firmware updates. Or to just come clean and say it will not be a feature, perhaps, because of some limitations in terms of hardware.

Read the message a couple above this and you will see that the status has been changed to "Engineering Investigation".
It is anybody's guess as to whether that means "kicked into the long grass" or "watch this space". But at least it is a response.
