Inter-VLAN routing issue only via Wi-Fi
Recently I purchased the AP WAX630E and switch MS108EUP for my network in order to be able to create VLANs and isolate certain types of devices in the network. I am using these two products along wit...

Hi ToniRod . I heard back from Netgear support. They confirmed that the issue is indeed with the WAX630E AP - it does not support Inter-VLAN communications when the devices are connected to the same AP, and they have no plans to add support for it. Apparently the only use case supported for this AP for inter-VLAN wi-fi communications is to use 2 different APs, which kinda doesn't make much sense in my head, but OK I guess. At least now I have confirmation that the issue is indeed where I suspected it was and can move on from here.

Don't bother. Thanks mate.
If anyone else has any insights into this issue and would like to provide your feedback I'd highly appreciate it.

Hi,
We may be facing the same issue..
Detailed thead here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Business-Wireless/WAX630E-VLAN-bug/m-p/2325009/highlight/true#M11089
I'm in discussion with Netgear support since late August trying to find a solution.

Thanks ToniRod . From reading your linked post, it seems to be exactly the same issue I am having. I've been working on this for the past week to no avail. Anything I try doesn't work. I've reached out to Netgear tech support but haven't heard from them yet.
You mention you've been in contact with Netgear support about this since late August. Would you mind sharing what is the current status of your support case? Have they acknowledged any issues with the AP?

Support isn't in charge for boosting the users learning curve. It's ok to bring up issues if you can proof there are issues. More difficult if people don't listen or read what we try to explain.

schumakuThere's clearly been some sort of communication issue between us. I've tried to explain my issue as detailed as possible, and I did appreciate your advice and replied as such, with even more details. However, your advice indicates to me that perhaps you haven't read all of my explanation of the issue, or at the very least, you've misunderstood it and were bent on trying to educate me on something that hasn't been requested.
The issue is not with the layout of the VLANs or the switch configuration - the VLANs work. My devices are correctly assigned to the VLANs and they can communicate for the majority of cases where the firewall rules allow. The issue happens only when the AP is involved in both ends of a Inter-VLAN communication, which heavily implies an issue with the AP. Exactly like ToniRod's issue.
In any case, given the history here, I think it would be best for both of us if you returned to not bothering trying to provide advice here.

Hello Everyone,
An update on this. As a poster pointed out it does appear to affect the WAX630E models. This does not affect the WAX610, WAX620, or WAX630 access points. Currently we are working on a fix. Once we do have a proposed fix I can relay an ETA on a release.
