WAX610Y As Client / Repeater
Is it possible to setup a WAX610Y as client or repeater on a non-insight 802.11AX mesh? I've been running two units, one root connected to a cable modem/router, and one as extender, with it also hardwired as a WAN connection to another Netgear 1800 AP runing DD-WRT downstream.
That all worked great. However now I need to connect the one WAX610Y extender wirelessly to an Engenius AP to become a client / bridge, rather than to another WAX610Y AP root. I've done this before using DD-WRT devices to join an existing wireless network as Repeater / Client. But don't see anything listed under Insight or the HTML interface that lists such options.

it's neither repeater or client ... set-up a WDS between the new AP and the WAX610Y. Start on Insight Managed WiFi 6 AX1800 Dual Band Access Point Models WAX610 and WAX610Y User Manual on "To set up a WiFi bridge between two access points: ..." p.211 ff.
Tried that last night, but link would not come up. Was showing the WAX610Y as the AP and not a Repeater. Channel matched up, securty was set correctly. Guessing maybe because it was hardwire connected to the internet and had an existing IP upon confguration. Only thing I haven't done yet is turn off DHCP server. Any further suggestions greatly appreciated.

I'd suggest to put up a static iP to the device, connect by WiFi, or for the sake connected with an Ethernet cable to the WAC whie not configured to the other network. Needless to say, you need a fixed IP on your computer, too (lack of a DHCP srvice at that point) to be able to establish a network connection to what should become your WPA Repeater.
Not using such esoteric configurations anymore these days I'm afraid.
