WAX630EP with EAX15 extender
I recently bought WAX630EP to use as my access point at home. I have a few areas of the house where the signal is not the best so I got EAX15 to patch that up.
The access point exposes a few WiFi networks that all work with 2.4, 5 and 6GHz ranges (all turned on). When I set up EAX15, the networks only show up as options for 2.4 and never 5. I even changed the. WiFi networks to only work on the 5GHz but then they don't show up at all.
As last effort, I tried to set it up with 2.4. It set up, claimed it was connected and then the app tries to connect to the extender to verify setup and it always fails without providing any details.
I use an iPhone 13 to set up the extender throrugh the Nighthawk app.
Am I doing something wrong? Are these devices incompatible?

That device doesn't do 6 GHz. (Confusingly, that's not what WiFi 6 means.)
The WAX630EP and EAX15 are both extenders. What router do they feed off? What modem/gateway/ONT sits between that and the Internet?
Neither of these devices fits in SMART Wi-Fi, General and Legacy Routers.
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
WiFi Range Extenders & Nighthawk Mesh - NETGEAR Communities
Business Wireless - NETGEAR Communities
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
Just another user with a set of boilerplate macros.

2.4GHz and 5 GHz, certainly not 6 GHz.

Business wireless section is appropriate, The OP clearly mentioned he is operating the WAX630E (the EP just indicates the device was ordered in a kit including the power supply).

In case you are struggling to use the Nighthawk App for successfully configuring the EAX15, I suggest to read the fine documentation https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/EAX15/EAX15_UM_EN.pdf and follow the Get Started on p.15 ff. Connect to an existing WiFi network.
